DJ SOL is Shlomo Deutsch — an open-format DJ running music, sound and lighting for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and corporate events. Behind the decks since 2015, and a floor that stays full.
The approach
A playlist you send me in advance is a starting point, not a plan. What actually fills a floor is watching who's on it — and knowing what to play thirty seconds before the energy drops.
I work open format because most events need it. A wedding runs from a quiet chuppah to a hora to a dance set that has to hold three generations at once. A corporate room needs music that reads as expensive without anyone noticing it. Both take the same thing: attention.

Column arrays and monitors that fit the space instead of overpowering it. Wireless mics for speeches and announcements, checked before guests walk in.
Dance lighting for the set, uplighting for the room. Set low and warm for dinner, brought up when the floor opens. Nothing that fights your photographer.
Where I play
Chuppah through last dance. Hora sets, dance sets, and the transitions between them handled without you thinking about it. Comfortable running a room that mixes frum and non-observant guests.
The hardest room there is — thirteen-year-olds and their grandparents on the same floor. I've been doing these long enough to keep both ends happy without pandering to either. MC and motivational dancers available on request.
Cocktail hour, awards program, after-party. Clean setup, professional presentation, and a run-of-show I'll actually stick to. Certificates of insurance available on request.
